How so?
A conservative group claiming that he focuses on a "pro-homosexual agenda" is hardly being "spotlighted along sexual grounds." Neither does anything else in that AFA piece of fluff have a damn thing to do with the current circumstances. So truth? Yeah, you're not quite there.

FOX operates BTN, not ESPN.
Oops. Does the reason I get three B10 games per weekend on my espn extra channels have to do with DISH then, not espn/fox?

ESPN/ABC controls First Tier rights (except for the championship game, which is FOX). ESPN/ABC also controls a number of second tier (IIRC). Big Ten Network (FOX) controls the rest...up to 35 games per year.

I see. I posted that link because it was the only one I saw that listed a series of on-campus events which could be construed as controversial, not because of the "pro-homosexual agenda" comment. The truth is that in '01 the PA legislature threatened to remove a small portion of PSU funding because several legislators were upset with the sex fairs and explicit subject content being passed off as "educational". The truth is PSU has drawn headlines in the past because of such sexually oriented controversies. The truth is Spanier's past lax attitude toward limiting things of a sexual nature may have played a role in his failure to fulfill his legal and moral obligation toward the child in question, which seems particularly germane in light of current circumstances. The truth is that you have made a value judgment on me after a grand total of two posts when you have no idea who I am. That's a remarkable talent. Apparently you don't care for the conservative source I posted because you feel those behind it are judgmental, yet you judge me for using it. There's a word for this. It's called hypocrisy. I think I've got a pretty good handle on the truth.

In other words, it was the only link that would fit with your preconceived notions. The truth is that in '01 the PA legislature threatened to remove a small portion of PSU funding because several legislators were upset with the sex fairs and explicit subject content being passed off as "educational". The truth is PSU has drawn headlines in the past because of such sexually oriented controversies. The truth is, every major state university deals with such "controversies". It's the product of an open learning environment. The truth is Spanier's past lax attitude toward limiting things of a sexual nature may have played a role in his failure to fulfill his legal and moral obligation toward the child in question, which seems particularly germane in light of current circumstances. The truth is that this is rampant speculative bullshit. The truth is that you have made a value judgment on me after a grand total of two posts when you have no idea who I am. No, the truth is that I made a crack about your screen name based upon the bullshit you posted. If you're going to advertise yourself as the truth, you'd better expect some blowback for it. Apparently you don't care for the conservative source I posted because you feel those behind it are judgmental, yet you judge me for using it. There's a word for this. It's called hypocrisy.
Yes. I feel those behind it are judgemental. They judge an entire group of people based upon who they are, they way they were born. There's a word for this. It's called discrimination. I think I've got a pretty good handle on the truth.
I'm sorry you think so.

In other words, it was the only link that would fit with your preconceived notions.
And your attacking of the link, and me, fits yours. Based on my posting of a link, you have wrapped me up into one of your boxes named "intolerant" and thrown away the key. I never denigrated anyone, nor any group. The truth is you don't know my views on anything, yet you rail about "preconceived notions". As I said earlier- hypocrisy.
The truth is, every major state university deals with such "controversies". It's the product of an open learning environment. BS. It's a product of social engineering designed to change mores. The truth is that this is rampant speculative bullshit. Sure it's speculative, but we aren't in a courtroom and can speculate freely. Other posters have speculated on this topic as well. Where is your indignation toward them? No, the truth is that I made a crack about your screen name based upon the bullshit you posted. If you're going to advertise yourself as the truth, you'd better expect some blowback for it. You have not demonstrated that I have spoken one untruth, therefore this is prejudicial, speculative and judgmental. You guys pride yourself on being "thick-skinned", yet you are butt-hurt over a link I posted. I've seen you post for a long time and I've witnessed your little witticisms and sharp mind. I'm a lot older than you and I've been through a lot in my life. I can certainly handle any "blowback" you can dish out. Yes. I feel those behind it are judgemental. They judge an entire group of people based upon who they are, they way they were born. There's a word for this. It's called discrimination. And your judging them for being judgmental is exactly what they do. You have become what you beheld but it's OK because you're on the "right" side. My assumption is that you are the kind of person who rails against intolerance yet you display it toward those with whom you disagree. See? I can put people in little boxes, too. You're right. This is discrimination. I'm sorry you think so. I'm sorry one as obviously intelligent as you are is blind to his own hypocrisy.

BTW, Dr. Drew is on HSN reporting on this story right now. Pretty much has this one nailed up and bleeding from all the extremities. Dr. Drew is bad-ass.
Can't wait to get Nancy Grace's take.

In discussing this with others, the question came up of "how wide spread is this?" Not specifically the buggery - that's documented to happen to about 5-10% of boys, and about 20% of girls are assaulted. What I am talking about is "how many schools give carte blanche to people that can pull in $50 million" like JoePa was doing? I am completely out of my element with people of that wealth and power - is it common? The fact that the reports they were pimping the boys for rich donors was believed show that many people think it is true.

You can buy a lot of hookers and trips to countries with low sex-crime enforcement for $50 Million. Not sure you need a football program for that.
