Yes, he was always injured in college.  I think he held out and got above slot from the club, IIRC.  Something about him having a first round arm or something.

Thanks for the link.  I was just wondering earler today what was up with him.

I see from that piece that Velasquez is still not pitching after TJ in 2010. He is to report to short-season ball this summer.

I just read that as he is already probably throwing, but they just wanted to start him in short season.  Makes sense, since his last outing was against high school competition.

Nevermind.  He did pitch in Greeneville.  I thought he got hurt right after signing.
