When we went to the Foodways Texas business in Austin a couple of weeks ago, John Mueller did the Friday night barbecue, with pecan pie from Goode Company.  The next morning we had breakfast at 24 with our daughter who we dropped off at Franklin's where her group was already in line.  She brought me brisket and ribs.  I need more similar experiences before I can judge between the two.

i ate there a couple of times and did not think it was all that good.
TB and another buddy took me there one Friday before heading back Houston way, and I was really suprised.  We had to get there early before the fella runs out of food or something like that--it's been 7 or more years, I think, so I can't recall the details other than the line was winding around the house and into the house, and I wondered just what the firetruck my buddies were thinking.

Long story short, it was the best pork chop I'd ever had up to that point.  Been down to Lockhart and to Belton since and had better, but that chop was an eye-opener. Never really thought of chops as Q.  Didn't grow up in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could.
