This is a Boras deal. He still feels guilty about Prior and so he dictated the limits.

Satan can feel guilt?

If you were a little more flexible, you could blow yourself.

I take virtually everyone at face value, because there are a lot of cockeyed things said here. My sarc-meter is broken. As I said, I had no move to first base. And I was slow to the plate.

and like i said, those two facts were not relevant to the discussion.

I meant to use myself merely as an example because I couldn't quickly think of an Astros pitcher who has the same problem. However, if it makes you feel better, Jared Weaver of the Angels, who I watched pitch yesterday, could be the poster child for being slow to the plate and having no move to first. The A's were taking off on his first pitch yesterday. Speedburners like Jack Cust were even stealing bases.

Last night, Strasburg struck out 4 of the last 7 batters he faced and was pulled after 6 IP with 4 hits, 0 runs, 3 BBs, and 7 Ks.

He was pulled because he had thrown 99 pitches.

What would have made my fucking week is if the Nats had lost the game after he left.   Too bad they didn't.

I'm not one of those people who misses "the good old days" but my fucking god, what a culture of sandy vaginas we've created.   The man was throwing a fucking gem.  He was cruising.   He was not struggling in any way.

I AM one of those people who miss the good old days when you let pitchers pitch until they were struggling or fatigued. This thread could have just as easily been named Babying Strasburg because that is what they are doing, courtesy of Satan's negotiations.

According to Olney he was "laboring" with his command throughout.  Right.

6 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 0 R, 3 BB, 7K

I'll give you that 3 walks in 6 innings is too many.   But it's not like he walked 10 in 6 innings.

The important question is...how many more innings does he get to pitch this year before he has to run home for dinner?

My favorite part from that article is Miguel Batista not making friends in mid-America...

Because they have never pitched 200 innings before, I've seen several first year pitchers get limited by their respective clubs to not risk injury. Especially teams that are out of it. Are you sure Satan negotiated that? Not that I would put it past him but...............

Strasburg has a significant tear of the ulnar ligament and will most likely need TJ surgery.

Poor, poor Nats.
