Are you still watching the games on some tiny window or did you figure out a workaround.
And continuing the last discussion in yesterday's game zone, yes, despite the fact that this is likely to the the Astros' worst season ever I can't see any way that the Marlins will not be even worse.
Still the tiny window. I'm not technologically creative or brave enough to come up with a solution. The marlins are abysmal in every sense an organization can be, and it will be that kind of crude ineffectiveness that foils Luhnow's carefully crafted plan to secure three first picks in a row. Fucking savages.

I have enjoyed being able to watch the games this weekend. I know it's old news, but these uniforms really are fantastic.
Way to rub it in. End of the first. Harrell's ground ball inducer is working. Lets hope the defensive alignment meets his approval. Scoreless after a quick first inning.

All I can say is that I never made Eagle Scout, but hanging out with you guys I feel more and more like one. Gee whiz, did you guys never pine for an unobtainable girl?
What do you think motivated all the drinking, drugs, and banging available girls?

This is beginning to look like the plan followed by the "Amazing Mets" .. last, last, last, last, next-to-last, last, next-to-last, world series champs behind Seaver, Koosman, Ryan & Gentry.
And then replicated with less success with Pulsipher, Isringhausen and Wilson.

General Discussion / Talk Zone / Re: Berman says Reid Ryan to Astros a done deal

Reid Ryan is an excellence baseball business man. Seriously. He is an untapped talent that should have had a major league job by now and what forces kept him from that will soon learn it was a mistake to do so. This guy pays attention to detail not only in terms of baseball ops, but on all fronts. Most especially in the fan experience. He understands where gimmicks end and pure family fun at the ballpark begins... which includes good baseball.
If Reid is allowed to build his staff like he did here in Round Rock, people are going to sing the praises of the day Jim Crane did the right thing to hire this talent instead of a re-thread from somewhere in the baseball/mlb ranks.
What forces have been keeping Reid down?
