Flat. Apathetic. Tedious.

Consult you own thesaurus for other words to describe the Astros’ performance in this one. The closest thing to a rally the “Good” guys managed was a Jennings single to move a runner ALL THE WAY TO THIRD BASE! Fortunately, Loretta was able to shut down that threat with a slow roller to SS. It’s unfortunate when you have to use the slowest non-Panamanian on the team as your leadoff man.

The final score, and any watching of the game or reading of the GZ, belies the fact that this was actually a 2-run game until the eighth. Randolph remedied that quickly.

Game highlights:

- Brewer CF Bil Hall scaled the wall in an attempt to retrieve Kabong’s home run. The ball landed a good 50 feet over his head in the balcony.

- Flapjack’s juggling act in the outfield, intended to liven an otherwise dead game.

- Chorizo absolutely DOMINATED the sausage race.

Highlights from the postgame quotes:

“We have to start approaching .500 here pretty quick.” – Lance Berkman

“Et al” – Phil Garner on who the club’s current setup man is

“Yuck” – all Astro fans, everywhere.
